Legal assistance to SME Credit in securing 20 mln. euros investment from the South Korea trust fund

KPMG Law provided legal assistance to SME Credit in a project of 20 mln. euros investment from the South Korea trust fund. SME Credit belongs to SME group of companies, also including SME Finance, SME Capital and others. SME group operates in a non-banking financing sector and provides factoring services to their clients. 
KPMG Law has performed the limited legal due diligence of the overall financing scheme, including the review of the corporate set up, rights and obligations transfer agreements, model factoring contracts, credit insurance arrangements, as well as the investment financing and related security documentation between the SME Credit and the South Korea trust fund. KPMG Law has also expressed its opinion on the compliance with the legal requirements, possible legal risks and ways to mitigate or eliminate them. 
The transaction was completed on 2019-11-04, whereby SME Credit has been granted the first tranche of 5 mln euros to be followed by further tranches of 15 mln euros in total. KPMG Law team has been led by the Law Firm Partner Gediminas Lisauskas.
